As you can see Matt Cutt's really is a hustla and obviously thinks he's king shit LOL!!....And of course you got the gangsta of SEO Aaron wall just chillin making Matt mad because of those frequent posts about Matt and his ladies of Google....
Yeh this is how Shoemoney really gets down! As you can see he's big pimpin'.....Now I know what really go's on at all those conventions..
Now here's the overrated Food critic John chow gettin down....I think he's about to go to one of those fancy restaurants and take some more pictures of food nobody has ever ate...or would care to eat....
Disclaimer: This is not a paid review! This is an honest review of Edesignerz.com website design company.
First let me start it off like this. I've dealt with other web design companies and let me tell you, they do not even compare to Steve over at Edesignerz. He really sets the bar for customer service, design and all out personality and friendliness.
Steve has been designing websites and offering Ecommerce solutions since 1995 and has provided solutions to hundreds of webmasters....Here are some samples of his work.
Edesignerz.com offers many different samples of his work such as flash samples, web design samples and ecommerce solutions. But let me tell you this, he does excellent work just like many other web designers...but the thing that sets him apart from the others is his customer service and personality. He is a very, very friendly guy and is always very, very helpful...which most web designers lack in that area.
So if you are thinking of getting a new site built for Ecommerce or whatever then hop on over to Edesignerz and get a free quote. Oh and tell him James sent you!
If you have a service, product and have a website that you think this type of crowd will benefit from then let me know..... I am going to review a few sites..not sure how many yet....but if you have a great service not necessarily even about making money, seo etc.... it can even be about Mexican recipes.......
Heres the rules for the free review...
1. You must make a post somewhere on the net and link to this post and state why I should choose your service (site) for a free review...
2. Comment below with a link to your post that you made...
It's that easy....I'll start doing the reviews in a week or so...
#1 - Article Marketing - Use Article directories such as http://www.ezinearticles.com http://www.buzzle.com http://www.articledashboard.com http://www.goarticles.com here's a huge list but Ezinearticles is the best IMO
****Tip****
If you can justify the cost you can find writers here at DP, http://www.rentacoder.com http://www.getafreelancer http://www.need-an-article.com make sure you that you request atleast a few samples from your writer and that they can write and speak in the language you want the articles written in.
#2 - Directory Submissions - And yes the ones that seem to carry the most trust and authority in Googles eyes you usually have to pay for...well Except for http://www.Dmoz.org do not submit to the 5 below unless your site is of high quality.
http://dir.yahoo.com/ $300
http://www.business.com/ $180
http://www.botw.org $99.95
http://www.joeant.com $39.99
http://www.dmoz.org Free, but seems to be a long wait for most people..
Their is also many more directories that you can submit to but most have no editorial guidelines theirfore they typically carry little weight in Google..
****Tip*****
If you do submit your site to lots of directories than an easy way to get your listing crawled by Google faster is to bookmark the page that your listing is on using onlywire or socialmarker....Because most directories will have your listing pretty deep in their site.
#3 - Blog Comments
You can comment on other peoples blogs to get referral traffic and link juice. Great free tool for this is http://www.commentkahuna.com/ you can find dofollow blogs and pretty much automate the process of commenting on blogs....
****Tip****
Make sure you actually read the post and make an intelligent comment...
#4 - Social Luvin
You can use the power of social web 2.0 sites to gain links, traffic and brand trust.
http://www.kaboodle.com - Social shopping, Kaboodle is great for Ecommerce sites...Install toolbar button and your ready to go.
http://www.thisnext.com - Social shopping, This next is great for Ecommerce sites.
http://www.hoobly.com - High PR classified site. Easily add your products and since they have such a high PR your listing will show up in minutes.
http://www.squidoo.com Make pages about your site and add multiple elements such as videos, rss feeds, links, articles etc...
http://www.zimbio.com - Make your own "Wikizine" - Wikizine is basically just a page that everyone can add or edit content...You can add your rss feed and then Zimbio will ping your feed and fetch the content...It's best to change up the content a little before publishing to Zimbio to avoid any duplicate filters for Google.
http://www.hubpages.com - Make a page, add elements...
These are just a few but of course theirs tons and tons more that almost everyone knows about such as youtube, myspace, facebook, digg etc...heres a huge list.
****Tip****
Its best to use unique, original, never before published content on your pages that you build and use 3 or more keywords in your title of your page..Link to your pages you build too.....Also some pages that you build will allow you to add rss feeds...Add them...You can build a squidoo page and add the rss feeds from your other squidoo pages, hubpages, article feeds, blogs etc....
#5 - Make a link bait page
Like above in this list their are two link bait pages...The first is a list of article directories and the other is a list of social sites....as you can see it works because I linked to them...
You can compile a useful report in your niche like the Top 15 worst celebrity plastic surgery procedures. Or Top 20 bloggers. Or hottest women online. Do something different, useful, funny, sexy in your niche and people will link to it naturally.
#6 Viral Widget...
EX: Mclovin ID maker...this movie was big in the US..You can simply add your photo and you have a Mclovin ID...the viral link building happens when a user takes the Mclovin ID code which has a link back to their site "Mclovin ID" and they place it on their myspace, website, blog etc...many more examples here
****Tip***
If you do this type of widget make sure that you make it very clear that if a person places the code on their website, myspace etc..that they know that they are linking back to your website...if you have no editorial guidelines and you are not relevant Google will slap the crap out of you.
#7 Be controversial...
Ex: If someone big in your niche spouts off about something then disagree with them...sometimes that person or website in your niche will notice and link to you..
****Tip***
If you do disagree and are controversial then have a valid point other than the link bait.
#8 Make up a Fake News Story and Make it look real...
Ex: A recent marketer made up this fake news story that was syndicated all across the net. The story was very entertaining and spread like a plague across the net..
****Tip***
If you happen to do this or try it then make sure you keep your mouth shut and don't get caught...or you'll be slapped..
#9 Social Bookmarking
Use services like onlywire and social marker to automatically bookmark your quality pages to the popular social bookmarking websites.
#10 Push the free line
Give away a useful free ebook, build a tool that is useful for your niche and give it away for free, make a video explaining how to build a website and give it away for free etc.....Giving quality, useful stuff away for free is one of the best ways ever to brand yourself and build trust in your community.

Would you mind telling every single backlinking technique you do for a content niche website. For example a website with 30 articles for starters. We know you do article submission, but that alone is probably not even close to enough. We also know you have blogs at your disposal... do you spread one article with the same content and anchor texts across all this network? Directory submission, blog commenting, software directories (making a .exe file), podcasting, etc... is that anything you use or everything? What else?
James
You would be surprised just how effective article marketing can be...however it's not all I do....of course the blog network which is syndication power like FOX news :)....I try to spin the anchor text, url's,content etc across blogs and make them of high quality that add value to the users experience....I don't do much directory submissions except for the quality ones like Yahoo, dmoz, joeant, botw, lii a few others ....and yes almost everything you mentioned I either do, have done or plan to do....in addition to high quality content that get links naturally... check these two posts out that I made here and here..hope that gives you a better idea..

Hi James...
Here's where I am:
No site yet, no traffic to speak of, many products I'm interested in selling, my own information product aimed at the wedding industry... what comes first-- the traffic for the list or the site? Blog monetized with Adsense & affiliate products?
I'm not new to SEO/SEM and viral marketing... I am new to developing my own strategy and my selling system. Where do I begin?
THANKS!
Therese
James
Building a list and a following is very important....You really need a website first and work on building your list once you have your product and site up and running..

Thank you for letting me ask a question! What is wrong with this site? It's old (in internet terms), it has many pages and I update it once in awhile. I know it's a mess because it was my first site. I also know that google adsense doesn't ever get the keywords right because video editing is a new consumer phenomenon. So the problem with it is it makes no money. Negligible. I am a video editor and I have a lot of things I know I can do to make it better (I intend to really push selling camcorders, etc). But I am not sure it's worth my valuable website building time. I think I should leave it as an info site and work on others. So the question is, when do you know you should leave a site because it isn't working? I will always keep it because it's what I do for a living. But it frustrates me that it isn't profitable. Thank you!
James
Well if I was you since it is what you do for a living... try developing your own information product about what you do and sell it or give it away for free and build a following through an email list and make $ that way...but if the site still isn't worth your time then you have to look at your ROI and go from their..

James, let me start by saying that the information you provide to all of us for free is great. I (we) appreciate it! My question is about your PROJECT ROI section where you built the 40 page niche website, optimized it etc...and then did nothing else to it and in 6 months your adsense was maling you approx. $600. When you say you did NOTHING ELSE to it does that mean all of its traffic came from organic searches through the search engines? Did you do any other link juicing with squidoo, hubpages, zimbeo etc......
thanks
Tony Mandarich
James
Thanks, I appreciate you too :)
I haven't updated the website since I first built it....I only had about 60 articles in Ezinearticles pointing to it when the site was making $600 a month after 4 months....but since then I have syndicated some articles on multiple hosted blogs, done about 2 squidoo lenses, 1 hubpage and I think thats it...which that is not much at all and I could really do alot more but time is money and I have a lot of stuff going on...but that little site keeps ticking and is ranked well in the search engines and has great referral traffic from Ezinearticles and multiple websites that have published my articles and the blogs....now that site is doing about $900 or so a month...

What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?
What is your site strategy? Do you have many sites that produce a little income, or a few sites that produce a large income?
Which do you think is better, concentrate on a few sites or do many sites?
What do you think of micro sites? Are they worth doing?
James
Google it...
My site strategy is try to build high quality sites whenever possible but I don't forget about the smaller, easier sites to build that will bring a hefty return....
I'd say concentrate on a few sites then once they get going move on to the next...and if you got too many going then have your friends help or hire someone...but then again it all depends on how your monetizing...if you do adsense then their much easier to run then say and Ecommerce site...so it just depends..
I assume your talking about micro niches...yes their highly targeted and are easier to become an authority brand and rank.

sorry, just read the old post and found the answer, you can delete the previous comment.
One big thing is that squidoo and ezinearticles rarely generate any traffic for me, are we doing it just to get indexed? if so there are a lot more easier ways of getting indexed
James
Nope I do article marketing for big time traffic...not to get indexed...

Hello James,
Do you do everything yourself?
Can you take one person i.e. me :)
Hand hold all the way from the start till finish with a promotional launch campaign.
Starting from setting up a blog, writing x number of articles, customizing and submitting to directories, web 2.0 stuff, etc?
BTW, who won the phone call with you?
I'm ready to implement! Teach me.

Hey James, thanks for sharing your knowledge both on here and on DP. ;-)
My question is, how much backlinking do you need to do to get enough traffic to a site to make e.g. $5 a day or maybe $20 a day in Adsense?
How many actual links (in terms of numbers) do you need to get traffic up on a site? 100's or 1000's?
Thanks.
Andy
James
NP!!
It all depends on the niche and quality of links Andy! No niche or link is the same....I've ranked for keywords that get thousands of searches a day off less than 300 links....but other niches have taken thousands...just keep building links to you get to the level you desire..
Ok thats it folks....hope that clears some things up....chat with you soon...cya
JDN
Now's your chance ask me anything. Wonder how old I am, how I got started....what I think about your site....ask me anything.
Post your questions below and when I get enough questions then I'll post the answers.
This post is going to show you the steps I take when building a squidoo lense....
First step is figuring out what I want it to be about and doing my keyword research...I already have an article about laser skin resurfacing so I'm going to use that.....Now I'm going to do my keyword research so I can get the full power out of it...
I can take a look at what suggestions Google gives in a couple of ways...First I will type in Google Laser skin resurfacing and this is what I get..
Whats so good about looking here is because you'll get those searchers who click the related searches links instead of just typing it in....So heres two keywords I'll keep in mind...Laser skin resurfacing cost and laser skin resurfacing prices....Now I am going to go to the Google keyword tool and see what Big Google has to give me...
After I type in my keyword and verify that I'm not a robot I'll then hit Get keyword ideas..and this is what I get....plus a few more not on the screenshot..
Now what I'm going to do is go through these keywords and pick out some good long tail keywords and make sure I put some of them in the title of my squidoo lense, content etc...Another great place to get keyword ideas is Assista or yahoo answers..below is a search I did at Assista to get even more keyword ideas...Assista will give you question based queries...Questions are always good to rank for....for a few reasons..They are usually easier to rank for and people type in questions in the search engines....Also you have lots of question based search engines like Assista that will link to your article or page because their search engine fetches question based queries across the web..
Now I have all kinds of ideas for keywords for my Squidoo page...So I'm going to sign in at squidoo and start on my lense...
First step is my title...
Now that my title has some great longtail keywords that I thoroughly researched earlier using Google and assista...
now I'm moving to step 2...
Step two will give you a few options...I always choose that "I want to do my own thing"
Step 3...you will choose the actual URL of your page and category...I suggest to make sure your title and url of your page are similar or the same...this way you have your keywords in your title and url..so choose wisely :)
Step 4....adding tags....tags are your keywords of your page....so put alot of them....atleast 5 + tags...
I'm going to put my tags as laser skin resurfacing cost, laser skin resurfacing, beauty, does laser skin resurfacing work, health, cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery, skin resurfacing...this should be fine for now...I might tweak it later on...You will only be able to add 3 tags on step 4 but you can add the rest later...it's easy to find you'll see it off to the right of the page....just hit edit and add more tags..
Well now I have my little page...now all I have to do is add modules...I'm going to add 4 rss modules, youtube videos, the article I had my writer write and some linklists....For the rss modules I will use the RSS feeds from my articles at Ezinearticles, a couple blogs, zimbio feed and another squidoo lense...Example one of my author accounts at Ezinearticles...
You should see the feed button in your browser just click it and you should see xml or rss in the url...once you have your feeds from your related blogs, articles, squidoo pages etc add them in the modules....Adding your rss feeds on your squidoo page will link to your articles, blog posts, squidoo pages, zimbio etc.. which will help your pages get more referral traffic....Plus the squidoo page will have more fresh content for the users.....
Then just add your youtube videos, linklists, pictures whatever....And make sure to add atleast 400 words of content that you can have a writer write for you..or write it yourself......and be sure to add those good longtail keywords that I showed you how to find earlier in your article...and update your page every now and then too...a couple times a month is good...but really making the squidoo page is easy step by step process....
Then when your done with your page you can get links to it from bookmarking it using onlywire.com....submit a story to digg...make a hubpage and link to it, do some article marketing ...or just make some more squidoo pages and link to your squidoo's within your squidoo's....
The possibilities are endless but be sure when making your squidoo pages you do proper keyword research and use 4 + keyword phrases in your title and url....Also be sure to add those RSS feeds to your squidoo pages...If you have feeds that are related to your Squidoo page then add them its a must for link juice, instant crawlability and referral traffic...
Just think if you had 20 squidoo pages or even a 100 and all of them had your rss feeds on them...it would be a beautiful thing....
You would have more referral traffic to your sites...
PS: The RSS, linklist Squidoo technique is not for SEO...it is strictly to help you build referral traffic to your sites and update the content on your squidoo page for your users...
Building referral traffic is critical and piggybacking on a high authority site like Squidoo is great....because think if you had lost all of your rankings in the search engines then what?....all you will have left is your referral traffic, direct traffic....So build your referral traffic today!
If you are Hoe Bing then just email me....and congratulations...You'll get some link juice and my phone number for some help..
Let me tell you a story really quick... :) so listen up and really, really pay attention to what I am about to tell you in this story OK..
Today I stopped at my local gas station, I go in and grab what I need and stand up at the register....this lady was paying for her stuff and was getting her change back and she told the worker just to keep the change ...besides the dollar bills...so the change was around 9 cents ok.....Now me I am going to take my change no matter how little and let it add up, my wife takes my change and puts it in her little stash and it adds up...Why? because I get change everyday from everywhere...them little nickels, pennies, dimes and quarters are all money just like them big dollar bills are. If you save your change then it has the possibility to add up really quickly....just ask my wife :)
What I am trying to tell you is that you don't necessarily have to rank for major keywords that get tons of traffic....you should try ranking for easier to get long tail 4 + keyword phrases....Example: If I am selling mens jeans...then of course my major keyword that I would want to rank for would be mens jeans.....but what I can not forget about is those long tail, higher converting keywords such as..... "Size 32 Mens Tommy Hilfiger Jeans"....btw higher converting means basically an action your want your visitor to take.... These more specific keywords are easier to rank for and your typically attracting a higher converting user....Which means if you put something really specific in front of your prospects then your more likely to gain an action...Whether if this action is a sale of your product, signing up on your email list, or clicking your adsense ads....
But what I am saying is you don't have to rank for those major keywords..like mens jeans...because the long tail is literally infinite.
Keep your change and take it....take those smaller keywords that get less traffic but if you get lots of that change it adds up really quick....."Small Streams Equal a Big River"
Take advantage of these sites for the long tail....
http://www.ezinearticles.com
http://www.squidoo.com
http://www.hubpages.com
http://www.hoobly.com
http://www.craigslist.org
http://www.zimbio.com
http://www.kaboodle.com
http://www.thisnext.com
Your titles and main keywords should be atleast 4 keywords....When choosing your keywords just think if you were searching for it...describe it....if your selling a bridesmaid gift then what type of bridesmaid gift is it....Is it a ...pink personalized spa slipper or a personalized glass jewelry box....what is it....make it long tail and
more specific and your traffic will add up...
Take your change!!! Take a look at how my change to this site added up!.....
You can get these type of stats from hittail.com...you get real time search hits and it stores a database of all of your keywords......This is great for multiple reasons...you can use your keywords for tons of ideas about what your market is looking for.....so use the keywords for those article topics, squidoo pages etc.....and just look at my stats above over 30,000 unique keywords that this site is ranked for!!!!
Leave your comments below and heres to your success...
JDN................. :)
I've received a comment from David Law and I just wanted to let everyone know that this blog thing I got in the works is not going to be a link farm nor is it anything similar at all!!!....The blogs in the network will not link to each other at all.....theirfore no relationship pattern at all....
It's not a link farm!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The network will be used for you to promote your other sites that are not in the network....So... if you put a blog in the network then you can basically publish unique, user friendly, high quality and relevant content to the other related blogs in the network and link back to your other websites that are not in the network...so were never inner linking the blogs together....you just use the blogs to promote your sites that are not in the network....
As far as the sites gaining PR and link juice...thats not a problem...I have access to over 1000 hosted blogs that have no relationship whatsoever that I can easily shoot links to the blogs in the network to help boost the PR and link juice...and the webmasters involved should use link building methods that they have learned too...to help boost PR...
What I basically want to clarify is that these blogs in the network WILL NOT link to each other....you will basically use the blogs to post highly relevant, quality content and link back to your other sites that you don't have in the network...theirfore no relationship pattern at all exists....It's just like you contacting 50 webmasters or more and asking them to publish your article and link back to you....
These blogs will be hosted in all different areas of the world because these are your blogs and mine...all of us live in different areas...all these blogs are on different IP's and will not inner link to one another...so no relationship exists....
Just wanted to clarify that This by no means is a link farm....
BTW this stuff works trust me...I have access to over 1000 blogs right now and all the blogs are from people all across the world and theirs no relationship since their hosted all across the world and theirs no blogs linking together...So its just like asking a random person to post your content on their site and give you credit with some link juice...
Link farms are sites that all link together and are usually all hosted on the same server by the same person....these blogs will not link together nor will they all be hosted by the same person....nuff said!!
BTW not only will you benefit from your newly found syndication power but if your blog is in the network then you will be receiving high quality, fresh content on your blog in the network which will help bring your blog more traffic and more options for monetizing your blog such as adsense, affiliate marketing etc...
